Characterization (by Bas Kokshoorn): Shell moderately
fragile, broadly conical in appearance, white, reaching at least 7.8
mm in length. Length/width more than 2.0. Protoconch absent. Teleoconch
whorls at least 6 1/2, separated by a very deep, fenestrate suture.
Teleoconch with evenly spaced, thin, blade-like costae, heavily damaged
in this specimen. Costae are orthocline. Outer margin of costae bend
abaperturally over whole of their length. Costae are not coronate and
are fused with those on adjoining whorls. The interspaces between the
costae are smooth. Number of costae 7, this appears to be constant over
the whorls. Aperture absent. Umbilicus absent. |
