Characterization (by Bas Kokshoorn): Shell fragile, slender conical, white, these specimens reaching 26.4 mm in length. Length/width 2.2-2.6. Protoconch whorls 3 ¼. Protoconch yellowish white. Teleoconch whorls up to 8 7/8, separated by a deep, fenestrate suture. Teleoconch with, thin costae. Costae orthocline, interspaces gradually increasing in size. At suture costae fused with those on adjoining whorls, costae stagger.. Costae slightly bend abaperturally over whole of their length. Costae are coronate with the peaks near suture, on top of the whorl. Interspaces between costae are smooth. Fifth teleoconch whorl with 8-14 costae. Five mm width whorl (n=1) (sixth whorl) with 8 costae. Aperture subcircular. Apertural length/shell length 0.3. Umbilicus absent. |
