Characterization (by Bas Kokshoorn): Shell fragile, slender conical, white, reaching 8.7 mm in length. Length/width 3.4-3.6 (n=2). Protoconch whorls 3, yellowish white in colour. Teleoconch whorls up to 7, separated by a very deep suture, the whorls are not detached. Teleoconch with unevenly spaced, moderately thick costae. Number of costae increases over number of whorls. Costae are orthocline and in line with costae on previous whorl. Outer margin of costae strongly bend abaperturally over whole of their length. Costae are coronate, peaks also strongly bend abaperturally, reaching almost as far back as to the previous rib on the preceeding whorl. Fine spiral lines are present in the interstices between costae and are crossed by fine axial lines. Fifth teleoconch whorl with 7-9 costae. Five mm width whorl with 20 costae (n=1). Aperture subcircular, callus formed on columellar side. Apertural length/shell length 0.2. Umbilicus absent. |
